I’m Hak. I build things with AI for a living and I have thoughts about it.

I run Agentivestack.ai, a small product studio where I direct AI agents to build software. Six products, various stages of done.

20+ years writing code, a decade in corporate, now independent. Somewhere along the way, AI changed how I build everything. I’m still figuring out what that means.

This newsletter is me thinking out loud about it.

Some weeks that’s a lesson from the build. Something broke, something worked, something surprised me. Some weeks it’s a bigger question: where is software actually heading? What happens when AI handles the implementation and the human just... directs? Does craft still matter when anyone can ship? I think it does. But I’m working through it.

I’m also on this path of doing more with less. Fewer tools, fewer screens, fewer distractions. I went from three monitors to one. Not because minimalism is trendy, but because the noise was eating my clarity. That shows up here too.

If there’s a thread through all of it, it’s this: in every system with agents, there’s a principal. The human who decides what to build, why, and when to stop. As the agents get more capable, that role gets more important, not less. This is a newsletter about being that person.

AI-Powered, Human-Driven.

If you build things, or think about how software and work are changing, you’ll probably find something here. If not, no hard feelings.
